Description:

The Cany-Barville castle was built in 1640 and is still privately owned. It sits with several buildings in a park with the Durdent rivers flowing through its grounds.

Once a year in July, they open their grounds to an international horse & buggy race, called "le Concours d'Attelage de Cany".

There are periods in the year that you can visits the castle, so if you're in the neighborhood, stop by and see it. {link}

The Chateau
The castle (chateau) is quite impressive for someone's private home.

Apart from the main home, there are several other buildings (stables, workshops, chapel), all well maintained.

The Chateau

The Durdent River
The horse & buggy race is quite spectacular, specially when there are 8 horses to one buggy !

They serve different kinds of food, and there's always live music.
