Doudeville is a typical town of Normandy, and boasts the be the linnen capital of Normandy. The town has several shops and restaurants, on saturday morning there's an open air market. Doudeville is the capital of the canton of Doudeville.

Alongside the town, you will find many mansions belonging to the Linnen Barons. Some of them are quite impressive. Once a year, around June, they have the Linnen Festival, were you can see all products, including food, that is produced with linnen.

Outside the town, to the north is a pretty castle (Chateau de Galleville) that is in use.
