In the summer, people rent wooden shacks that are placed on the pebble beach. It is a place many Parisians, but also locals come to during the summer. The famous French artist, Claude Monet painted a painting of the cliffs of Les Petites Dalles. Jules Vernes and Gustave Eiffel also lived here during the summer.
