If you do not have a fixed itinerary/route, here are some suggestions. We have mapped out several nice routes to take. We'll tell you how much time you'll be spending driving, what you can see, where you can eat and general area information.
If you have a Garmin GPS, we've included some routing info that you can download and use with the GPS. To download the Garmin GPS files, right click on the GPS file (ends with .mps) and select "Save as..". You can just click on the file name, but some programs may not download them correctly.
You should be able to start anywhere on the route, depending where you are coming from, but obviously for the narrative purposes, start at the beginning.
All routes can be taken by both car and motorcycle. If there's a portion that is not suited for one, it will be clearly marked. Equally, routes adapted for Mobile Homes and Caravans are marked.
Additionally, we'll be showing a few walking tours. There are a couple of very long walking paths around Normandy. Some of them are a couple of days marching. They can be found on the Michelin 304 and 303 maps marked "GR" followed by a number.
