About Normandy

Normandy is a region in northern France bordering the English Channel, known for its coastline and historical sites.

The capital of Calvados, Caen, lies along the Orne River just inland from the coast. Mont Saint-Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, sits on tidal flats and features a medieval abbey accessible only at certain tide times. Normandy’s landscape is defined by low peaks such as Signal d'Écouves, which rises to 413 meters and includes a military memorial. Typical visits span 3 to 5 days, combining coastal landmarks with inland towns.
